Sex and the City reboot star Nicole Ari Parker responded to fan claims she hd replaced Kim Cattrall on And Just Like That....
The 51-year-old actress spoke about dealing with fans who remained 'protective' over the show and the original core cast — namely Cattrall's Samantha Jones — who declined to sign on for the reboot.
'I got a taste of the crazy fans that this show has,' Parker said while discussing her casting and the HBO Max show on E!'s Daily Pop.

Parker — who plays newcomer Lisa Todd Wexley on the show — is a fellow mom friend of Kristin Davis' Charlotte York.
Though there are several new castmates on the show, fans were quick to hone in on Parker as what they felt was a 'replacement' for Samantha (in Cattrall's absence) — which she had maintained was 'not true at all.'
'They're very protective of the series and all these things. And I just appreciated it all,' she shared in Thursday chat.
Fans have felt the gaping absence of Cattrall's sex-crazed character — who was said to have moved to London in the reboot.

The foursome — which also includes Cynthia Nixon's Miranda Hobbes — became a trio in the reboot, to many fans dismay.
Nicole's casting was announced shortly after Cattrall's exit was confirmed, causing critical viewers to falsely mistake that she was set to be the group's new 'fourth.'
'When it first came out that I was replacing the Samantha character—which is not true at all, so please write that, Nicole told the Hollywood Reporter back in October. 'I have been yelled at...I've also been attacked with love,' she shared.
